The Marie A. Crossbody pattern includes the instructions for 2 different sizes of this stylish crossbody bag. The smaller size is ideal for just the essentials, and includes card pockets in the main compartment. The larger size is perfect for those who like to carry around a bit more stuff in their daily adventures. As a bonus, you get a cute cosmetic bag if you make the Mini without D-ring tabs!
Finished dimensions:
Regular: 11” wide (top), 9.25” tall, 3” deep (28cm wide, 23.5cm tall, 7.6cm deep)
Mini: 9.25” wide (top), 6.75” tall, 2.5” deep (23.5cm wide, 17.1cm tall, 6.4cm deep)
The Marie A. Crossbody pattern is a digital download that includes full color, step-by-step pictures and very detailed written instructions. In addition, a narrated full YouTube video tutorial accompanies this pattern. The video link is embedded in the Pattern Notes on page 1 of the pdf pattern. All dimensions are available in inches and in centimeters.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:
- Exterior Fabric : 1/2 yard (1/2 metre) of quilting cotton (+ 1/4 yard if making your own strap)
- Lining Fabric: 1/2 yard (1/2 metre) of quilting cotton
- Interfacing: 1 yard (1 metre) of medium weight fusible woven interfacing: EB-Fuse light, Pellon SF-101 or Vlieseline G700
- Stabilizer: 1/2 yard (1/2 metre) of foam stabilizer (recommended): Pellon Flex Foam, By Annie’s Soft & Stable, or Bosal’s In-R-Form
OR: 1/2 yard (1/2 metre) of fusible fleece stabilizer: Pellon TP971F or Vlieseline H640
- 2 D-rings 1 inch wide (2.5cm)
- 1 adjustable slider 1 inch wide (2.5cm)
- 2 lobster clasps 1 inch wide (2.5cm)
- 60 inches (152cm) of 1 inch wide (2.5cm) cotton webbing (or handmade fabric strap, instructions provided)
- 24 inches (60cm) of #5 nylon zipper by the yard and 2 zipper pulls (or 2 nylon bag zippers at least 12 inches (30cm) long).
- Cutting mat, ruler, and rotary cutter, iron, seam ripper and scissors
- Wonder clips and pins
- Disappearing fabric pen or fine chalk pen
- Chopstick or other turning tool
- Narrow or zipper foot
- A 90/14 microtex needle is recommended
- Anti-fray liquid
